What this site is
A handful of converters for turning images into PDFs and PDFs back into images. There is no account, no upload, no queue and no paid tier. You open a page, drop a file, get a file.
Why it runs in your browser
Almost every converter online works the same way. You upload a file, their server does the work, and the result comes back to you. That design is why those tools cap you at twenty files an hour, make you wait in a queue, and eventually ask you to pay. Server time costs money, so the free tier has to be limited.
It also means a copy of your file sits on a stranger's machine for some period of time. For a holiday photo that may not matter. For a payslip, a signed contract, a medical letter or a passport scan it matters a great deal.
Browsers can build and read PDFs on their own now. So this site does the work locally instead. Nothing is uploaded, which removes the cost, the queue and the privacy question all at once. Load a page, turn off your internet connection, and the converter still works.
How you can check that claim
Do not take our word for it. Open your browser developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and convert a file. You will see the page load and then nothing further. No request carries your file anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.
The trade-offs, stated plainly
Running locally is not free of downsides and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. Very large jobs are limited by your own device memory rather than by a big server. The first PDF you convert in a session takes several seconds longer because the rendering engine has to download once. Password protected PDFs are not supported yet.
Who runs it
Purple Compass Digital, a registered company in Malaysia. The site is built and maintained by one person, and the writing on it is written by that person rather than generated in bulk.
The site is paid for by the advertising you see on it. That is the entire business model. There is no premium plan, nothing is upsold, and your files are not part of the deal.
